How would you make an Alice in Wonderland costume?

August 1, 2009 · 1 comment

Halloween is kinda a big thing around here, everyone likes to decorate and get dressed up. It's just a fun time and I was thinking about what I was going to be and I had the idea of . I always make my own costumes but never really sew anything. I can sew small things but nothing more. How would you go about this? I'm not sure that I would have a blue skirt but I do have a light denim one . . . any and all help is appreciated!

With all due respect have you ever viewed the Disney Version???

I have; a hundred or more times with my daughter.

I recall Alice having at least ONCE,,, a pale with some form of an apron, with scallops? Yikes why am I even answering this? LOL.

The DRESS was probably a V or Boat neck, with the embellishments in white lace or whatever, such as frilly or flouncy collar and maybe on the ends of SHORT sleeves.. The apron was designed as a metaphor for her REAL life versus her wandering into dreams.
